Protection of Masculinity Organization Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Alpharetta, Georgia, United States (EIN 92-3258052). We provide evidence-based resources, mentorship, and community programs for men, boys, and families.

This Privacy Policy applies to our website at pomoinc.org, the digital products we offer through it, and any emails you send us. It does not cover websites or services run by other organizations, even when we link to them.

When you take part in one of our in-person programs, such as New Dads or mentorship in schools, we may collect some additional information. If we do, we will explain how we use it at that time.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

Our website does not have user accounts or contact forms. When you email us, for example to ask a question, apply to become a mentor, request a school visit, ask about donations, or request our financial documents, we receive the information you choose to share. This usually includes your name, your email address, and the contents of your message. Mentor applications may also include details about your background and why you want to get involved.

Please do not email us sensitive information, such as health details or financial account numbers, unless we specifically ask for it.

Information from purchases

When you buy one of our digital products, such as a printable workbook, the purchase is completed through Lemon Squeezy, our checkout and payment provider. Lemon Squeezy collects your payment details directly, and we never see or store your full card number. Lemon Squeezy shares limited order information with us, such as your name, email address, country, the product you bought, and the order total, so we can deliver your files and help with any questions.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, some information is collected automatically by our hosting provider and the tools we use. This can include your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, the website that referred you, and your general location based on your IP address, such as your city or country. We use this to keep the website running smoothly, protect it from misuse, and understand which pages are most helpful.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common standard for how websites should respond to these signals, our website does not currently respond to them.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it. We share information only in these situations:

• Service providers: companies that help us run our website and services, such as our website host, Lemon Squeezy for payments, Google for analytics, maps, and fonts, and our email provider. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
• Legal and safety reasons: when we believe in good faith that it is required by law, or needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of our organization, the people we serve, or others
• Organizational changes: if we merge with or transfer our programs to another organization, information may be transferred as part of that change, and it will remain protected as described in this policy
• With your permission: in any other situation, only when you ask us to or agree to it

We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

7. Payments and digital products

Lemon Squeezy acts as the merchant of record for our digital products. This means Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record for your purchase and handles payment processing, sales tax, invoices, and refunds. Your payment information is collected and processed by Lemon Squeezy under its own privacy policy, which you can find on the Lemon Squeezy website. Your receipt and download details are emailed to you by Lemon Squeezy.

8. Other websites and services

Our website links to other organizations and services, such as crisis support lines, Google Maps, and Lemon Squeezy. We do not control those websites, and this policy does not apply to them. Please review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as the law requires. For example:

• Emails and inquiries: kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up
• Mentor applications: kept while we consider your application and for a reasonable time afterward
• Order and donation records: kept for as long as tax, accounting, and nonprofit reporting rules require
• Analytics data: kept according to the retention settings of the tools we use

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

10. How we protect information

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on our website and limiting access to the people who need it. No website or method of storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify you where the law requires it.

11. Children's privacy

Our website is intended for adults, including parents, educators, and mentors. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before emailing us or making a purchase.

Our school programs are arranged with schools and youth organizations. Any information about students that we receive through those programs is handled according to the school's or organization's requirements and the law.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it
• Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
• Ask us to delete your information
• Object to or ask us to limit certain uses of your information
• Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To make a request, email info@pomoinc.org with the subject line "Privacy request." We may need to confirm your identity before we respond. We will reply within the time required by law, and we will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Some information may need to be kept even after a deletion request, such as purchase and tax records we are legally required to keep.

13. Information for US state residents

Some US states have privacy laws that give residents additional rights. Several of these laws do not apply to nonprofit organizations, but we aim to honor reasonable privacy requests from everyone, wherever you live.

California residents: we do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. You can ask us about our privacy practices at any time by emailing us.

14. International visitors

We are based in the United States, and our website and service providers operate mainly in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live. Where the law requires it, we take steps to make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.
